Information about the position

Vinted is looking for a strategic, social-first leader to own how we show up in public conversation — across our owned social channels, our corporate website and newsroom, and the real-time platforms where our reputation is made and defended.

You'll lead the strategy, systems, and team that grow Vinted's organic reach and engagement while protecting and strengthening our online reputation. This is a highly visible role combining hands-on content leadership with the judgment to guide the business through reputation-sensitive moments — partnering closely with Communications, Marketing, and executive stakeholders, and growing a team capable of scaling with the company.

In this position, you’ll

Own the strategy and output of Vinted's global organic social channels, creating social-first content that grows reach, engages, entertains, and builds brand affinity — balancing high-level strategy with hands-on production oversight and testing bold ideas against performance data

Lead community management across our channels, ensuring every interaction reflects Vinted's voice and values

Support LinkedIn and executive content, helping leadership build credibility and visibility in the industry

Develop and lead Vinted's online reputation strategy: social listening, sentiment analysis, and early-warning systems that flag trends and risks before they escalate, plus building the escalation pathways and decision protocols to act on them

Serve as an alert system for the wider business — surfacing risks and opportunities, and making sure campaigns are landing well in social

Partner with the Communications team on issues, responses, and emerging narratives, balancing speed, transparency, and brand values, and act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders on reputation-sensitive situations

Manage Vinted's corporate website, newsroom, and editorial content, supporting thought leadership and corporate storytelling with consistent, on-brand quality content

Lead, develop, and grow a best-in-class social team; manage external agencies and freelancer relationships as needed

Partner closely with Marketing, and Communications to align our editorial approach, and ensure ensure alignment across campaigns, channels, and messaging

Deliver executive-level reporting and recommendations on reputation health, sentiment, and content effectiveness

About you

Experience across social/digital media, communications, and online reputation management, ideally at a major consumer brand, platform, or high-growth organization, or media company

Proven track record growing social communities and reach over time

Deep expertise in social reputation management, including navigating complex or high-visibility issues and crises, and building scalable frameworks and governance models to manage that risk

A creative portfolio or track record showing work that resonates in culture and drives measurable business growth

Excellent judgment on content, tone, and editorial decisions

Strong people leadership experience — hiring, coaching, and developing a team

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at every level, including executives

Deep fluency across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Reddit, and emerging platforms

Experience with social listening, sentiment analysis, and reputation intelligence tools

Fluency with data

Familiarity with executive positioning, thought leadership, and employer brand programs

Experience in consumer tech, marketplaces, or platform businesses operating across multiple markets is a plus

Workation policy

Better balance holidays with workdays by working remotely! Up to 90 days per year in the EU, of these, 21 days can be spent globally. For non-EU citizens, it's 21 days worldwide. This can be combined with time off for vacation or personal time.

Each year, you’ll be given a learning budget (starting at €3,000), and a total of up to 10 working days over a 2-year period to support your personal and professional development.
