In addition to providing senior guidance, the Senior Director is expected to stay close to key customer engagements, support RFQ/RFI activities, prepare executive presentations, and help regional teams position Qualcomm solutions effectively in day-to-day customer discussions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead hands-on product marketing activities for automotive cockpit platforms, software, and adjacent solutions in Europe, ensuring messaging, collateral, and enablement materials are aligned with customer needs and regional sales priorities.

Develop and refine customer presentations, value propositions, competitive positioning, launch content, and briefing materials for European OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and internal account teams.

Support key customer engagements, RFQ/RFI responses, roadmap discussions, technology workshops, product demonstrations, and executive meetings by preparing content, aligning stakeholders, and capturing follow-up actions.

Work directly with Product Management, Engineering, Business Development, Sales, Customer Engineering, and regional teams to collect customer feedback, clarify requirements, resolve positioning questions, and ensure consistent communication.

Track European market developments, customer platform plans, competitor activities, ecosystem changes, and software-defined vehicle trends, and turn these inputs into practical recommendations for product positioning and account support.

Contribute to customer events, sales trainings, business reviews, launch planning, and internal alignment meetings by providing market context, preparing materials, and supporting clear next steps for regional execution.

Candidate Profile

Extensive experience in product marketing, product management, technical marketing, business development, or related customer-facing roles within semiconductor, automotive electronics, software, or high-technology markets.

Strong knowledge of the European automotive technology landscape, including cockpit and infotainment architectures, digital chassis platforms, software-defined vehicle trends, OEM requirements, Tier 1 ecosystems, and software partner models.

Proven ability to create customer-ready messaging, presentations, launch materials, competitive analysis, sales enablement content, and practical tools for regional teams working on complex technical opportunities.

Ability to work effectively in a global matrix while staying close to European customer engagements and coordinating with product stakeholders, sales teams, engineering, finance, legal, and business decision makers.

Personal Competencies

Strong customer orientation, practical problem-solving skills, and ability to turn complex product topics into clear, usable messages and materials.

Hands-on working style with the ability to manage several customer requests, product topics, events, and internal deliverables in parallel.

High degree of ownership, collaborative mindset, attention to detail, commercial awareness, and ability to influence stakeholders across functions and geographies.

About Qualcomm

Qualcomm engineers heavily out of Cork, with Munich, Cambridge and Turin behind it. Chip and modem engineering — Cork is its main European R&D site, not a satellite office, though expect the roles to skew hardware/firmware over pure software.
