General Summary:

The successful candidate will focus development in the areas of bare metal Driver/Firmware Development and Validation, Debug and Resolution of Issues reported in System level testing and Software Use-Cases. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with system architects, software engineers, hardware designers and verification engineers.

Role & Responsibilities

In this role responsibilities include, although not limited to:

Delivery of low-level hardware drivers for SOC GPU Subsystem

Manage validation and testing of the driver/hardware

Programming of device drivers in C language

Debugging low-level software and hardware issues

Scripting in Python for data analysis and test automations

On-going code re-factoring

Test plan development and execution

Required Skills

Candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in below:

Experience in Low Level software development in C, C++, and Assembly.

Excellent knowledge of ARM processors

Experience in automation and test/integration methodologies.

Experience developing validation methodologies and infrastructure solutions.

Experience with source and revision control tools (GIT, Perforce)

Experience with defect tracking tools (JIRA)

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience working with team in several Geos

Strong debug skills

Experience with lab equipment, such as, Logic analyzers and Oscilloscopes

Experience with the Lauterbach Trace32 debug platform

Familiarity with DFT/DFD

Familiarity with RMA process and the debug flow for customer returns and HVM failures

Preferred Skills

Developing and optimizing test framework and tools to create a controlled validation environment to support large scale validation.

Designing and defining new validation strategy as well as detailed test plans.

Lead debug efforts for issues found during Pre-silicon and Post-silicon.

Define, design, and execute platform Pre-Silicon and Post-Silicon validation plans for current and future products.

Provide mentorship and technical direction to a distributed team of system validation engineers for program execution.

Educational Requirements

Minimum Bachelors in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related fields.

Preferred Masters in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related fields.

Work Experiences:

5-7 years with Masters OR 6-9 years with Bachelors in System Validation Engineering, Hardware Engineering or related work experience

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
