The Team

The Business Management team comprises a small number of individuals responsible for the operational management of the department, supervision of the budget, delivery of internal and external communications and events, and implementation of strategic department-wide initiatives.

As Man Group's Technology department in Sofia continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Business Manager to join the team to provide senior business support locally. This newly created role reflects the increasing scale of the office and will initially focus on event management and communications, shaping how the department engages and connects its people.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where you'll translate ideas into reality, drive key initiatives, and make a tangible impact across the Technology department.

Role Responsibilities

Work closely with senior management to identify and respond to the department's evolving business needs and priorities

Deliver employee engagement initiatives and department events, including hackathons, offsites and training programmes

Produce high-quality reports and presentations for audiences ranging from department-wide town halls to Executive Committee meetings, clearly communicating the department's strategic objectives

Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, supporting the development of the department's brand and communications strategy

Work with the wider Business Management team to deliver initiatives spanning Learning & Development, Communications and Culture, aligned with departmental strategy

Manage business management projects from planning through to delivery, coordinating stakeholders, timelines and outcomes

Provide flexible, ad-hoc support across a range of tasks and initiatives that may arise as the department's needs evolve

Key Competencies

Experience of leading projects or workstreams

Analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail

Proven experience engaging with senior leadership across geographies and functions

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to build trust quickly across teams and levels of seniority

Strong proficiency in productivity and presentation tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Slack) along with confidence in leveraging AI tools

Self-starter who works independently with the ability to multi-task and prioritise
