About the Team:
You will be responsible for achieving revenue objectives within an assigned MidMarket prospect territory — identifying, qualifying, and converting net new logos into Medidata customers. You will report into the Director of Mid-Market Sales.
Your Mission:
Drive net new logo acquisition across an assigned MidMarket prospect territory, converting target accounts into Medidata customers through consultative, solution-led selling. Responsible for building pipeline, qualifying opportunities, and closing first-time business — consistent with Medidata business principles.
Your Commitments:
Development and execution of a go-to-market strategy for an assigned prospect territory
Proactively identify, target, and qualify net new business opportunities to build Medidata's customer base
Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of new logo opportunities through outbound prospecting and market engagement
Consistent attainment of all new logo revenue and booking targets
Representing Medidata in a manner consistent with company business principles and ethics
Coordination of resources within sales and other departments in order to close new business
Maintaining and updating account and opportunity data within company systems as directed, including Salesforce.com
Quarterly and/or annual sales targets are covered under a separate document
Your Competencies:
Demonstrated driven, hunter mindset — proactively sources, qualifies, and closes net new business
Strong ability to open doors, navigate buying processes, and convert first-time customers
Ability to leverage a consultative approach to articulate Medidata's value proposition to new prospects
Strong knowledge of the life sciences industry, including R&D, Clinical, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and IT functions
Ability to gain initial executive credibility and build relationships in new accounts
Demonstrated consistent track record of exceeding new logo sales targets
SaaS / application software sales experience
Strong business planning and organisational skills
Demonstrated success with process-driven selling
Your Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree required
3+ years of B2B sales experience, with a track record in new business / net new logo acquisition

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
