Head of Market Intelligence

In this role, you are responsible for leading AT&S’s global Market Intelligence function and providing independent, fact-based insights on markets, customers, technologies, and competitors to support strategic planning and executive decision-making. You establish and continuously enhance market intelligence processes, methodologies, forecasting models, and external intelligence networks to ensure reliable and actionable insights. As the center of excellence for external market understanding, you enable Business Areas, Corporate Strategy, Inhouse Consulting, and Executive Management to make informed decisions, identify growth opportunities, anticipate market developments, and strengthen AT&S’s long-term competitive position.

Your Responsibilities

Lead and develop the Market Intelligence function, including team leadership, resource planning, and capability development.

Establish and continuously improve market intelligence methods, governance, and reporting standards.

Develop and deliver market, customer, competitor, technology, and industry intelligence to provide a reliable fact base for strategic planning, investment evaluations, portfolio decisions, and M&A activities.

Present and communicate market developments, risks, opportunities, and external trends to Executive Management and key stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making.

Act as the corporate owner of external market, customer, technology, and competitive intelligence, ensuring a single source of truth across AT&S.

Develop market forecasts, scenarios, and competitive intelligence frameworks to support strategic decision-making.

Manage external research providers and ensure quality and accuracy of all market intelligence deliverables.

Leverage advanced analytics and AI solutions to enhance productivity and decision support capabilities.

Manage the Market Intelligence budget, external providers, and resource allocation to ensure effective delivery of strategic priorities.

Maintain external networks with industry experts, research providers, and strategic partners.

Support Executive Management and governance bodies with strategic analyses and decision support.

Contribute to strategic initiatives, partnerships, and M&A activities through market assessments and due diligence support.

Drive automation, digitalization, and data-driven decision making within the function.

Ensure compliance with corporate policies and foster cross-functional collaboration across the Group.

Your Profile

Master's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field; PhD, MBA, or Executive MBA preferred.

10-15 years of relevant experience in Market Intelligence, Strategy, Corporate Development, Consulting, or related fields.

Experience supporting strategic and executive-level decision making in an international environment. Semiconductor, electronics, or technology industry experience preferred.

5-8 years of leadership experience in Market Intelligence, Strategy, Corporate Development, Business Development, or Consulting.

Proven experience leading professional teams and cross-functional initiatives.

Leadership and people management skills.

Expertise in market intelligence, strategy, and competitive analysis.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business acumen.

Experience with advanced analytics, AI, and business intelligence tools.

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.

Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage.
