The Opportunity
We're looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our Operations team in Munich, taking ownership of the upkeep and reliability of our production workstation fleet and robotics infrastructure. This role suits someone with a technical software or computer science background, 3+ years of hands-on experience in a similar environment, and a track record of solving hardware and software problems independently in Linux systems.
You'll work directly with production machines, robotic hardware, and connected tooling — diagnosing root causes, resolving faults, and improving how our systems are maintained over time. This is a hands-on, onsite role for someone who takes initiative on unfamiliar problems, is comfortable moving between different types of technical work, and can be trusted to make sound calls with minimal oversight.
Your Responsibilities
Assembly, installation, and commissioning of new production stations and robotic embodiments, including hardware setup, cabling, and full software/OS configuration.
Own hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting across Linux-based workstations and robotics hardware, diagnosing and resolving issues that span both hardware and software.
Work confidently in the Linux terminal for diagnostics, configuration, and system administration, including scripting to automate recurring tasks.
Maintain and improve GPU-enabled workstations, Docker environments, and related infrastructure.
Take ownership of unfamiliar or previously unseen technical problems, applying structured debugging and sound judgment to resolve them without needing to be walked through it.
Build and maintain documentation for issues, fixes, and procedures, and help shape how new equipment and tooling get tested and rolled out.
Spot recurring problems and propose fixes or process improvements rather than just resolving issues as they come up.
Take on a variety of ad hoc technical and operational tasks as priorities shift, and help guide less experienced team members when needed.
Must-have
Background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related technical field
3+ years of hands-on experience maintaining Linux-based systems, hardware, or similar technical infrastructure.
Strong working knowledge of Linux and genuine fluency operating in the terminal / command line.
Solid programming and scripting skills (e.g. Python, Bash, or similar), with experience automating routine technical work.
Comfortable working hands-on with both hardware and software, including physical assembly and lifting of hardware/equipment.
Strong debugging skills and independent judgment, with a track record of working through new and unknown problems methodically and with minimal guidance.
Fluent in English.
Nice-to-have
Experience with Docker, GPU-enabled systems, or robotics hardware.
Fluency in German.
Competitive compensation package
Various employee subsidies and perks, including public transportation and wellness support
Work with a world-class team in a flat hierarchy, with direct collaboration alongside the founders and engineering team
Opportunity to make a real impact by working on cutting-edge robotics and AI systems
Fast growth potential in a rapidly evolving company and industry
International office environment with English as the official working language
Recruiting Process
Your recruiting partner for this role is Madhulika (she/her). You can expect upto 4 rounds of interviews including an onsite visit to our office in Munich.
