At Uber, being a Senior Operations Manager means bringing curiosity, structure, and creative problem-solving to a dynamic, fast-evolving business. As our operations grow, this role acts as a key operational heart for the Swedish market. You will drive sustainable growth while staying closely connected to the everyday experiences of both our Merchant Partners and Eaters.
In this role, you’ll help bridge the gap between regional/central programs and local, on-the-ground execution. You’ll be the go-to partner for complex or non-standard operational challenges that require a thoughtful, hands-on touch across merchant and eater experiences. We’re looking for a versatile, collaborative, and analytical team player who enjoys turning ambiguous situations into clear, actionable paths forward. If you love working with data, building meaningful partnerships in a fast-moving environment and making a tangible impact on everyday city life, we’d love to meet you.
What you’ll do
End-to-end operations leadership: Serve as a key local operational lead for Sweden, helping shape performance, strategy, and execution across both our merchant partners and eater community. You’ll prioritize impactful local initiatives, and continuously improve how our local programs are run. You will need to navigate ambiguity and shifting priorities to unlock value for our operations, managing high-stakes investments and budget allocations with technical rigor.
Merchant & eater operations excellence: Help solve non-standard or localized operational challenges across merchant onboarding, menu integrations, and eater order delivery. You’ll act as a supportive bridge and escalation point when central teams or automated systems need local expertise.
Data-informed insights & action: Use SQL and analytical tools to understand market dynamics, identify bottlenecks, mitigate churn, and turn data into thoughtful, practical business strategies.
Collaborative stakeholder alignment: Build warm, effective working relationships across local teams, central operations, product, and cross-functional partners to move projects forward smoothly in a multi-layered organization.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
5+ years of professional experience in operations, management consulting, strategy, tech, or a fast-paced business environment.
Strong comfort working with SQL and data analysis tools (Excel / Google Sheets).
Demonstrated experience managing projects, bringing structure to complex initiatives, and delivering results collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications
Comfort navigating cross-functional and matrixed organizations, especially working alongside centralized or regional operations teams.
Exposure to both partner-facing (Merchant) and customer-facing (Eater/User) operations or service delivery.
Strong communication skills with an empathetic approach to building influence across diverse, multicultural teams.
Ready to Ride?
This isn't the kind of place where you follow a playbook — it's where you help write one. If you're driven by impact, energized by challenge, and ready to shape how the world moves — we'd love to hear from you.
You may be eligible for bonuses, equity, and other compensation, as well as a range of benefits. Explore our benefits.
