About the Team
Consumer Operations is the growth engine of one of the largest consumer businesses in the world spanning dozens of markets and regions, and reaching millions of people across EMEA.
Central Operations Delivery EMEA owns the growth agenda end-to-end - not just the frameworks behind it. We reach consumers across every touchpoint: the feed they open every day, the email that lands in their inbox, the paid and organic channels that bring them to Uber in the first place, and everything in between. We're directly accountable for how well that reach converts into growth and retention.
Doing this well takes a genuinely unique blend of skills; part growth marketer, part analyst, part consumer-behavior expert. We partner closely with CRM, Product, and Data Science to design and run the initiatives that move the needle, and with Local Ops to scale what works across EMEA. The bar for this team isn't a well-built playbook - it's real, measurable impact on the consumer experience and the business.
About the Role
This role sits within Central Ops Delivery for EMEA, part of Consumer Operations. You'll shape and deliver the regional consumer growth strategy understanding the consumer's journey end-to-end, addressing their pain points, and driving growth through strategic initiatives, experimentation, and flawless execution, with a strong focus on the different channels (owned and non-owned) we use to reach consumers.
This is a hands-on role that calls for a combination of consumer obsession, sharp analytics, critical thinking, and strong execution. You'll think creatively about how to continuously improve our value proposition and the consumer experience and you'll own that outcome, not just contribute to it.
You'll do this by owning specific growth initiatives end-to-end, from spotting the opportunity in the data to shipping and measuring the program that captures it, and by scaling what works across EMEA markets in partnership with Local Ops. You'll work closely with Local Ops, CRM, Analytics/Data Science, and Product, and you'll be accountable for the business result, not just the deliverable.
What You’ll Do
Live and breathe the Consumer's journey: You'll know what consumers do, when, and why. You'll understand their pain points and take ownership of solving them.
Own and Drive Consumer Strategy: You're responsible for shaping strategic initiatives rooted in deep analysis of consumer behavior and key business metrics. You identify the high-impact opportunities and turn them into initiatives — and you follow them through to the result, holding yourself accountable for the outcome, not just the activity.
Experimentation: Core to how we innovate. You design, run, evaluate, and make recommendations from data-backed tests and act decisively on what you learn.
Build Regional Scale: You take what works and scale it across EMEA, and bring global/regional learnings back into how you iterate.
Optimize the Consumer Journey: You oversee and improve the journey end-to-end, driving engagement and efficiency and reducing churn.
Execution: You turn ambitious ideas into tangible results - coordinating across teams, managing resources and timelines, and making sure initiatives land, not just launch. Things don't fall through the cracks on your watch, and you close the loop without being asked.
CRM & Channel expertise: You build scalable CRM solutions using Uber's internal tools, in close partnership with CRM teams — and you understand how CRM and non-owned channels (paid, partnerships, organic) work together to move consumers through the funnel.
Partner with cross-functional teams: You work closely with Local Ops, CRM, Product, Engineering, and Data Science to hit shared goals — and you take responsibility for keeping that collaboration productive, proactively flagging risks and status so there are no surprises.
Decide and own it: You make timely, well-reasoned calls within your scope even with imperfect data and you own the outcome, good or bad, rather than letting decisions drift.
What You'll Need
6+ years of hands-on experience in Operations, Program Management, CRM, or Growth Marketing, or similarly analytical experience in a fast-paced, consumer-growth-focused environment
High proficiency in reading and writing SQL, we will not consider candidates without this
Data-first problem solver with sound business judgment and a track record of driving consumer growth in a commercially sensible way
Strong program management, stakeholder management, and communication skills — able to balance rigorous attention to detail with swift execution
A genuine sense of ownership: you don't wait to be told what's next, and you hold yourself accountable for results, not just output
You want to help shape how millions of consumers experience Uber across EMEA!
Preferred Qualifications
High attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills
Previous experience driving and executing CRM or lifecycle growth strategies
High technical aptitude, with the ability to quickly ramp up on internal people, process, and tooling nuances
Growth mindset: a proactive learner with a "can-do" attitude, able to pick up new skills quickly and become the go-to expert on your area
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, keeping them on track while adapting in a dynamic, business-driven environment
Ready to Ride?
This isn't the kind of place where you follow a playbook — it's where you help write one. If you're driven by impact, energized by challenge, and ready to shape how the world moves — we'd love to hear from you.
You may be eligible for bonuses, equity, and other compensation, as well as a range of benefits. Explore our benefits.
