Reggio Emilia, Italy
Team description
SumUp's field sales team in Reggio Emilia is on the ground every day, helping local shops, cafés and tradespeople find payment solutions that actually fit how they work. As Field Sales Manager, you'll build this team from the ground up and shape how SumUp grows in one of its key Italian territories, leading from the field rather than from behind a desk. It's a role built for someone who wants real autonomy over how a territory and a team take shape, and who measures success by the results both achieve together.
What you'll do
Lead, coach and develop a team of field sales representatives across the territory
Work alongside the team in the field, joining client meetings and supporting negotiations
Track sales performance and drive the team towards revenue targets
Spot new business opportunities and adapt the sales strategy to the local market
Build and grow the team by partnering with Recruiting and Sales Coaching
You'll be great for this role if…
Experience managing and developing a commercial team, with a hands-on leadership style
Strong knowledge of field sales and what it takes to win new customers on the ground
Ability to lead by example, working side by side with the team rather than from a distance
Comfort using sales data and results to guide decisions
Fluency in English, along with ease working autonomously in a fast-moving environment

About SumUp
SumUp makes card readers and point-of-sale hardware for small merchants, and most of what's open here is commercial — sales and account-management roles across France, the UK and Italy. The engineering side is smaller and concentrated in Berlin, working on the payments backend and the merchant app rather than the hardware itself.
