We are looking for an Associate Technical Consultant to bring their technical and delivery skills to client implementations of Staffbase. In this role, you take ownership of defined technical tasks and standard integration components for small business and mid-sized customers, ensuring they have an outstanding technical experience adopting the Staffbase platform. You reliably work within established procedures and documentation, and you see the world through the customer's eyes to help them get the most out of the Staffbase platform for their content and comms processes.
What you’ll be doing
Engage directly with customers to assess requirements and independently own your assigned integration components end-to-end, from kickoff through go-live
Deliver specific integration components, such as standard Single Sign-On (SSO/SAML) setups or HRIS syncs, using established procedures and documentation
Interpret customer requirements and technical specifications and map them to standard Staffbase platform capabilities
Perform root cause analysis for common, recurring technical issues and diagnose single-system application failures
Independently manage standard integration workstreams, proactively identifying and escalating complex deviations or project risks beyond your defined scope
Communicate technical challenges and roadblocks clearly and concisely to the internal project team and the customer, ensuring impact on timelines is understood
Handle routine, low-stakes technical queries directly from customer contacts
Prioritize and execute technical tasks based on established project timelines, proactively reporting delivery risk as soon as it's identified
Advise on integration implementations for broadly used systems such as Microsoft, SAP, Workday, and Okta, within your defined scope
Assist in the secure setup of customers' Staffbase environments based on governance and technical requirements
Collaborate closely with Technical Specialists, Consultants, and Product teams to advocate for customer and team needs
Contribute to internal and external documentation to support colleagues and customers
What you need to be successful
You work reliably and independently on structured technical tasks within a clearly defined scope, and you take ownership of seeing them through to completion
You have outstanding written and verbal communication skills, able to explain technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
You are structured and detail-oriented, with a strong adherence to documentation, established procedures, and knowledge base articles
You communicate proactively and in a timely manner, flagging risks and blockers before they escalate
You can quickly understand technical concepts and translate customer requirements into standard platform solutions
Extensive Coding skills are not a requirement for this role, but a basic understanding of a programming language (e.g. JavaScript, HTML/CSS) and familiarity with version control tools like GitHub is a strong advantage
Comfortable using the command line or application logs to independently narrow down and resolve known technical issues
Around 1-2 years of experience in development, technical consulting, professional services, implementation, or sales engineering
Business-level proficiency in German and English (C1 or above); French is a plus
Experience with enterprise software concepts and integrations is a plus (e.g., SAP, Workday, Single Sign-On, Active Directory)
Basic knowledge of security and compliance topics in a SaaS environment is a plus
What you'll get
Competitive Compensation - we offer attractive salary packages including LTIP (unit-based Long Term Incentive Plan)
Flexibility - we offer flexible working time models and the option of hybrid work, and support this with a yearly flex work allowance of €1560
Recharge - with 31 vacation days annually (incl. one floating holiday), plus pro rata fully paid Fridays off during August
Support - we offer offering a company pension scheme
Volunteers Day - you’ll get one day off per year for supporting a social project
About Staffbase
Staffbase builds internal communications software for large employers, out of Dresden and Berlin. Dresden is the engineering centre and is a genuinely rare thing in East Germany. The board runs to security and fullstack work on a mature product.
