As part of Enterprise Cloud Services, the Global Cloud Operation (GCO) team is SAP’s Cloud Infrastructure provider and is responsible for running SAP’s backend technology including operations of state-of-the-art data centers around the globe. Enterprise Cloud Services - Global Cloud Operations unit acts in a shared services.

The Data Center Management unit within GCO is the shared service unit providing services within all SAP’s Data Centers: IMAC-D services, hardware maintenance, asset management, supplier coordination, Co-Location management.

The Datacenter Operations Specialist (DCO) will work within SAP’s Cloud Data Center Operations Team. The Datacenter Operations Specialist is part of a regional team (Data Center Management - DCM) and is overall responsible for a Data Center Location.

The Role:

The responsibilities for this position include the following:

Interface and coordination to all external Service Providers/Vendors for Data Center Operations

Responsibility for IMAC-D services & processes

Goods Receipt handling

Data Center Capacity Management

Support of hardware maintenance activities

Data Center Inventory Management / Asset Management

Data Center access management / Access control

Data quality & reporting

Ticket handling in our Tool ServiceNow

Support global teams on datacenter architecture and process-related topics, while independently driving selected initiatives

Lead and execute datacenter-related projects for global implementation

Ensure the highest Datacenter standards of quality and operational excellence aligned with SAP guidelines

Participate in data center build-up activities including hardware commissioning, rack installation, and infrastructure validation

Coordinate with facilities and construction teams during the build-up phase to ensure operational readiness

Collaborate closely with regional DCM colleagues to share best practices and ensure consistent service delivery across locations

What you bring:

Minimum of 4 years experience in Data Center Operations

Technical knowledge in Compute, Network, Storage hardware

Experience in handling ticketing systems

Advanced knowledge of Data Center Equipment

Advanced knowledge in hardware maintenance

Good knowledge in Co Location Management

Familiar with coordination of IMAC-D processes

Basic understanding of power and cooling infrastructure

Ability to organize work and complete tasks independently

Organizational and analytical skills

Excellent written communication skills

Ability to communicate and work in a multi-cultural environment

Must be adaptable to change

Fluent English is required

French language skills are a strong advantage

Strong team player with a collaborative and proactive attitude

This role will be located in Paris, France.

Position requiring access to classified data 'Restricted Distribution' / 'Special Restricted Distribution France' / 'Secret' implying residence in France / being of French nationality to have the relevant clearances in accordance with the regulations in force.
