General Summary:

We are searching for a Principal level Systems Architect to help lead Qualcomm in the development of 4G LTE & 5G modems to address the IoT market. Working within a dynamic design team you will participate in the development of next generation 4G LTE & 5G chipsets in the IoT wireless space.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will oversee the modem architecture, providing specifications, analysis and main design choices, thanks to interaction with the teams of algorithm development, HW design, DSP/embedded SW design and platform integration.

You should contribute to the definition and application of a mature process to guarantee the delivery of solutions as per global Qualcomm quality policy throughout the various teams.

You will be responsible for ensuring that the technical definition of the modem will meet the product definition as set by strategy and marketing teams.

PROFILE:

At least 15 years of experience in similar position

Track record of successful design of ASIC and SoC

Good technical knowledge in DSP/HW/RF/ASIC design

Strong expertise in chip architecture and dimensioning, RF/HW/SW partitioning, tradeoff management, low power design

Strong experience in working with various teams, including cross cultural and offshore teams

Efficiency, commitment, leadership and charisma, customer driven, autonomy and ability to interact at all levels within the company

Experience in wireless systems, ideally in 4G/5G

Excellent written and oral communications skills

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Engineering degree in a relevant discipline. BSc, MSc or equivalent

Simulation tools such as VSS, SystemVue, MatLab

4G/5G 3GPP Standards and requirements

We are open to this role being based in our Farnborough, UK office or Sophia, France office

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 8+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 7+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
