About the team

Our Czech team, mainly based in Prague, works closely with PwC Germany as a nearshore consulting team supporting transformation projects in the financial services sector. We bring together strong German language capabilities, consulting skills, and understanding of banking, insurance and other FS domains.

We have been fully & seamlessly integrated with PwC Germany but you will also be part of the Czech technology consulting team and will have the opportunity to be involved in activities in both countries.

About your manager

Romana Mrazova is a Manager in PwC’s Technology Consulting practice. Since 2017, she has combined technology consulting with hands-on delivery, working on software development and digital transformation in the automotive and telecommunications sectors, including SAP transformations. Her work covers product management, business analysis, project governance, and test and release management, with a focus on product quality and delivery excellence. Romana brings clarity to complex challenges and helps turn priorities into results. She guides cross-functional teams, improves collaboration and strengthens agile ways of working. She lived and worked in Germany and China and speaks Czech, English and German.

Job description & summary

As a Senior Business Consultant, you will take a key role in the analysis, design, coordination, and delivery of digital and technology‑enabled transformation projects for clients in the financial sector, especially banks, insurance companies, and investment firms. You will work closely with senior client stakeholders and IT teams, translating complex business needs into clear, structured requirements and solution designs. In addition to hands‑on analytical work, you will actively contribute to delivery planning, project governance, and stakeholder alignment in agile or hybrid environments. You are expected to take ownership of workstreams, support decision‑making, and contribute to successful project outcomes while gradually growing into broader leadership responsibilities.

Imagine working on projects like: 

Digital Lending & Customer Journey Transformation - You redesign end-to-end lending processes, from customer onboarding and credit assessment to loan servicing. You identify pain points, define business requirements, create future-state process models, and ensure seamless integration between banking applications. The solutions you design improve customer experience, reduce operational costs, and accelerate loan processing times across the organization.

Core Banking Modernization & Platform Transformation - You help banks replace legacy core banking platforms with modern, cloud-ready solutions. You analyze current processes, gather business and regulatory requirements, define target-state operating models, and bridge communication between business stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams. Your work directly shapes how the bank will operate for the next decade.

What matters to us

Completed university degree in Economics, Business Administration, Business Informatics, Business Engineering, or a comparable field; interdisciplinary backgrounds (business combined with technology, digital transformation, analytics, management, or communication) are welcome

3+ years of professional experience gained in consulting, technology consulting, or digital transformation initiatives, with exposure to banking, insurance, or other regulated industries, either in functional or project‑based roles

Proven experience in delivery‑oriented roles, including Business Analyst positions, project governance or agile transformation initiatives, product or service coordination, and consulting roles with strong stakeholder interaction across business and IT

Interest in working with topics such as business and data analytics, automation (e.g. RPA), agile delivery, software development lifecycle, digital platforms, and IT‑supported business processes

Experience or exposure to project delivery, governance, or transformation initiatives is a strong advantage

Experience using German at B2-C1 level and English at C1 level in a professional environment
