Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services, with over 300 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films and games across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.

The Client and Partner Technologies (CPT) organization is charted with enabling brilliant Netflix experiences on partner devices and building foundational client systems and tools. The Partner Enablements Apps group within CPT is looking for a software engineering manager to lead our Device Workflow team.

Team

The team is based in Warsaw, Poland and will partner with our globally distributed teams (USA, Brazil, Netherlands, and Taiwan). The team develops the applications that enable our device partners (consumer electronics manufacturers, SoC, ODMs) to integrate the Netflix app on smart TVs and set top boxes. We provide a unified approach for developing and delivering cloud and data systems leveraged by application teams and other stakeholders.

The core service offering is a gateway for partners to execute the engineering and business interactions with Netflix. It also allows Netflix employees to manage hundreds of millions of devices and related partnership financial operations.

if you are passionate about TV devices and devices in general, and are curious to dive into it even more and bring value here - it's the role for you!

What you will do

Set the vision, drive the strategy. Own the technical strategy and product vision for the team's domain in close partnership with Product Management and Experience Design teams. Bring strong opinions, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to translate business goals into a clear, actionable roadmap.

Lead the team. Hire, coach, and retain strong engineering talent. Build a culture of high standards and continuous learning.

Drive engineering excellence. Establish a mature foundation of engineering practices across the team — including testing, monitoring and alerting, performance, scalable on-call, technical debt management, data quality, and effective AI usage.

Bring an innovation mindset. Stay current with the trends, tools, and technologies shaping our space, and assess their relevance to our ecosystem. In particular, bring a creative approach to introducing AI and agentic features.

Requirements

Software engineering leadership. Proven experience managing a full-stack engineering team, with a solid engineering background of your own.

Product and strategy mindset. Proven ability to identify product opportunities, propose innovative solutions, and influence roadmap direction through strategic thinking and deep understanding of user and business needs.

Global, collaborative mindset. Comfortable working across time zones spanning the US, Asia, and Europe. Ability to be in the office a few days per week to build team culture and connect with colleagues in person.

Strong communication. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate cross-functional dynamics under ambiguity.

Excitement for agentic AI. Genuinely energized by the rise of agentic AI. Whether you've already integrated AI-powered workflows into your engineering practice or are actively exploring what's possible, you see this space as a major opportunity and want to bring that thinking into how your team builds and operates.

Commitment to inclusion. Committed to building an inclusive, diverse environment where every voice is heard and everyone has the opportunity to do their best work.

Inclusion is a Netflix value and we strive to host a meaningful interview experience for all candidates. If you want an accommodation/adjustment for a disability or any other reason during the hiring process, please send a request to your recruiting partner.

We are an equal-opportunity employer and celebrate diversity, recognizing that diversity builds stronger teams. We approach diversity and inclusion seriously and thoughtfully. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, ancestry, national origin, caste, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or expression, age, disability, medical condition, pregnancy, genetic makeup, marital status, or military service.

About Netflix

Netflix keeps a small, selective European engineering presence, mostly Amsterdam, London and Warsaw. It does not hire in volume, so a posting appearing here is worth attention.
