Senior Solution Engineer - Security

As a Sr. Solution Engineer - Security in the Netherlands Security Solution Engineering team, you help customers secure their AI transformation while working in a front-row environment focused on securing AI and AI Security.

You bring end-to-end accountability for technical proofing of Microsoft security solutions such as Sentinel, Defender for Cloud, Agent 365 and Project Perception so that customers can confidently adopt modern security capabilities. In this role, you use deep customer, domain, and industry insight to shape security architectures, guide strategic decisions, and help organizations become cyber-ready for the opportunities and risks of AI. You scale impact by partnering closely with sales, engineering, and the partner ecosystem to land strategic wins and reusable patterns.

Responsibilities

Use knowledge of customer context, Microsoft security portfolio expertise, and technical and industry knowledge to build credibility with customers and act as a trusted advisor to assess and consult on their security needs.

Demonstrate and lead architectural design sessions, proof of concept sessions, pilots, and similar activities that validate security solutions based on multiple Microsoft products, positioning them effectively against competitors.

Adapt and extend architecture patterns to accommodate complex customer requirements and drive integrated security solutions that can be reused across scenarios, industries, and accounts.

Proactively identify and engage key customer technical decision makers and influencers, shaping technical sales strategy and leading complex technical wins across workloads, teams, and geographies.

Build and share competitive security knowledge and patterns within the community, contributing insights back to product and engineering teams to influence future security capabilities and strategies.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Proven pre-sales, solution engineering, or technical consulting experience in a customer-facing role.

Strong cybersecurity expertise, with the ability to advise customers on security strategy, risk, and modern security operations.

Knowledge of SIEM, cloud security, and AI security technologies.

Ability to lead technical and business conversations with customers and influence technology decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience presenting, demonstrating, and positioning security solutions to enterprise customers.

Familiarity with leading security platforms and technologies such as Microsoft, Palo Alto Networks, CrowdStrike, Splunk, Google, Cisco, AWS, or similar security ecosystems.

Solution Engineering IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across Netherlands is € 86,300.00 - € 170,800.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
