Overview
Help shape the next generation of mobility and manufacturing through agentic AI. Microsoft Frontier Company brings deep industry expertise together with Forward Deployed Engineering and Industry Studios in an agile motion that co-builds connected, secure, and scalable agentic solutions with strategic customers. Our Manufacturing & Mobility team defines each customer’s Frontier opportunity, aligns it to the business outcomes that matter, and drives it through to production while feeding customer insights into Microsoft’s product roadmaps.
As Industry Advisor, you will be Microsoft Frontier Company’s industry voice within a focused portfolio of strategic mobility and manufacturing accounts, with an emphasis on the Automotive industry. Operating with CxO and business decision makers, you will build the trust that enables Microsoft to co-build with customers, define transformation outcomes, create and qualify opportunities, and orchestrate Forward Deployed Engineering, Industry Studios, account teams, partners, and engineering resources through customer value realization.
This opportunity will allow you to shape agentic-platform transformation, deepen executive advisory and market-development impact, and scale successful customer innovation through repeatable workflows, industry plays, references, and practices.

Responsibilities
Lead agentic AI transformation across assigned strategic accounts by identifying high-value business opportunities, facilitating executive envisioning, and developing multi-horizon roadmaps tied to measurable customer outcomes.
Serve as Microsoft’s trusted industry advisor by applying deep Automotive, Mobility, Product Engineering, and Manufacturing expertise, market insight, and thought leadership to customer transformation priorities.
Build and deepen relationships with CxO and business decision makers, shape long-term transformation agendas, and establish Microsoft as a strategic partner for cloud, AI, data, and agentic-platform innovation.
Create, qualify, and accelerate Frontier opportunities from ideation through production and value realization by defining industry scenarios, aligning stakeholders, and focusing execution on delivered outcomes and sustainable revenue growth.
Orchestrate account teams, Forward Deployed Engineering, Industry Studios, partners, engineering, and worldwide industry sales resources to progress engagements, remove blockers, and ensure successful solution delivery.
Co-innovate with customers and convert successful implementations into reusable agentic workflows, industry plays, reference architectures, customer references, case studies, and practices that can scale across accounts.
Mobilize global systems integrators, independent software vendors, and strategic partners; represent the voice of customers and the industry to product and engineering teams; and strengthen market perception through industry narratives and customer success stories.
Qualifications
Extensive Mobility and Manufacturing industry expertise, with a focus on the Automotive industry.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant industry domain or related field, such as Computer Science, Natural Sciences, Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline, AND several years of experience working in a relevant industry domain;OR several years of proven experience working in a relevant industry domain;
OR equivalent experience.
Expertise in Product Engineering and Manufacturing, including the ability to translate industry priorities into transformation opportunities and measurable business outcomes.
Executive presence and a proven ability to collaborate across customers, partners, account teams, engineering, and delivery organizations.
Business fluency in both German and English.
Preferred Qualifications
Several years of experience in business roles within the Mobility and Manufacturing industries, preferably Automotive.
Several years of industry solution or services sales experience, including outcome-based or consultative selling to CxO stakeholders, or experience in an industry-focused sales or consulting position within an IT consulting company.
Business and market development experience, including shaping AI or agentic transformation programmes and scaling partner-led industry solutions.
Ability to work across multiple organizations and a proven track record of collaborating with partners, customers, and engineering or delivery teams.
In line with our Flexible Work approach, for roles at Microsoft Austria and Germany, we recommend spending at least two days per week in the office or at the customer site.
Industry Advisory IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across Austria is € 105,100.00 - € 177,100.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
