Logitech is the Sweet Spot for people who want their actions to have a positive global impact while having the flexibility to do it in their own way.

The role and team:

At Logitech, we innovate at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and user experience to create products that enhance how people work and play. As an Mechatronics Engineer within the Engineering Innovation Team in Lausanne, you will develop innovative haptics peripherals by bridging electronics and embedded software. Your focus will be on rapid prototyping, designing advanced microcontroller systems, and creating solutions that seamlessly integrate hardware and software across our product ecosystems.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of experienced engineers to push the boundaries of what Human Interface Devices (HID) can deliver. This is your opportunity to shape future technologies that set new standards for productivity, creativity, and immersive user experiences.

Your Contribution:

Be Yourself. Be Open. Stay Hungry and Humble. Collaborate. Challenge. Decide and just Do. Share our passion for Equality and the Environment. These are the behaviors and values you’ll need for success at Logitech. In this role you will:

Design, develop, and integrate haptics peripherals into HID devices, ensuring seamless user experiences and tactile feedback.

Implement and optimize real-time operating systems (RTOS) such as Zephyr or equivalent solutions for embedded applications.

Develop EE & firmware, conduct system-level debugging, and ensure efficient operation across prototypes and final products.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams (mechanics, electronics, UX/UI designers, and product managers) to ensure alignment between hardware and software integration.

Engage in rapid prototyping to validate design concepts, accelerate development cycles, and build proof-of-concept devices.

Drive technology exploration and innovation to enrich user interaction with HID products.

Collaborate in documenting designs, creating test plans, and ensuring compliance with engineering and quality standards.

Key Qualifications:

For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and experiences to our team:

Technical Skills

Embedded System Knowledge: Hands-on experience with ARM-based microcontrollers, (Nordic Semiconductor NRF52 and NRF54 families is a plus).

Real-Time Software Expertise: Proficiency with RTOS frameworks like Zephyr or equivalent, and deep knowledge of multi-threading, scheduling, and low-power optimization.

Haptics Technology: Thorough understanding of haptics peripherals design and integration, including motor drivers and actuators.

Prototyping Skills: Proficiency in rapid hardware and software prototyping techniques to test concepts efficiently and advance development timelines.

Firmware Development: Strong firmware coding abilities in C/C++, with knowledge of debugging tools and techniques for embedded systems.

Communication Protocols Expertise: Skilled in implementing and debugging wired and wireless protocols like Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), I2C, SPI, etc.

System Integration Abilities: Experience in interfacing embedded systems with sensors, actuators, and other peripheral devices.

Soft Skills

Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills, combined with a results-driven mindset.

Team Collaboration: Effective communication abilities to work closely within a multi-disciplinary team, bringing ideas together across mechanical, electronic, and design domains.

Initiative: Self-starter attitude with a passion for innovation and learning new technologies.

Attention to Detail: Strong focus on quality and the ability to deliver detailed designs that meet engineering standards.

About Logitech

Logitech's European roles lean commercial — marketing and sales roles in Cork, Lausanne, London and Utrecht outnumber engineering ones here, which mostly sit close to headquarters in Lausanne. A hardware company's regional postings skew toward selling the product more than building it.
