The Senior Manager Project Purchasing is responsible for leading all procurement activities related to New Product Introduction (NPI), customer quotations, industrialization programs, and product launches at the Ovar site.

The role ensures that supply chain readiness, material cost competitiveness, sourcing strategies, and supplier engagement are fully integrated throughout the product development and industrialization lifecycle. Acting as a key business partner to Sales, Engineering, Program Management, Operations, and Strategic Procurement, this leader drives successful project execution while balancing customer requirements, profitability, supply continuity, and operational excellence.

This position requires a highly capable leader who combines strong commercial acumen, supply chain expertise, technical understanding, and execution discipline to deliver successful product launches and profitable business growth.

Commercial & Quotation Support:

Manage supplier quotations as a primary responsibility, ensuring timely, accurate, and competitive responses aligned with project requirements. This includes preparing RFQs, consolidating technical and commercial inputs, validating supplier proposals, and submitting complete quotation packages within defined deadlines.

Analyze cost structures and assess supplier feasibility to support decision‑making and project profitability.

Coordinate cross‑functional inputs (engineering, quality, logistics, finance) to ensure quotations reflect the full scope of the project.

Negotiate pricing and conditions when required, ensuring alignment with cost‑target objectives and customer expectations.

Maintain quotation documentation and ensure traceability, compliance, and consistency across all project phases.

Ensure sourcing strategies are effectively implemented during project execution.

Monitor critical supply chain risks and implement contingency plans.

Ensure alignment between project milestones and supplier deliverables

NPI & Industrialization Leadership:

Lead all procurement-related activities across New Product Introduction (NPI) and industrialization projects.

Ensure successful transition from quotation phase to serial production.

Establish robust launch processes that ensure material availability, supplier readiness, and cost competitiveness.

Identify project risks early and implement mitigation actions to protect customer commitments.

Organizational Leadership:

Lead, coach, and develop the Project Purchasing organization.

Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, ownership, and excellence of execution.

Establish clear performance expectations and development plans.

Drive continuous improvement in project procurement processes, governance, and tools.

Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and key stakeholders.

Manage escalations professionally and ensure rapid resolution of critical issues

Bachelor's or Master's degree in: Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering; Electronics Engineering; Business Engineering or Related technical discipline

Minimum 10–15 years of experience in similar and related roles, within electronics manufacturing, automotive, industrial electronics, or comparable high-tech industries.

Strong understanding of electronic components, manufacturing technologies, and supply chain dynamics.

Minimum 5 years of experience leading teams, with proven ability to build, coach, and develop high-performing teams

Financial acumen with ability to evaluate business cases and profitability drivers.

High problem-solving ability and resilience.

High influence and stakeholder management ability.

Strong commercial mindset balanced with operational excellence.

Ownership and accountability for project outcomes, customer commitments, and business results.

High strategic execution with proven ability to translate business opportunities into successful procurement and supply chain execution plans.

Pace and sense of urgency with proven ability to rapidly assess challenges, prioritize actions, and drive timely decision-making in fast-moving project environments.
