Mission Brief

You will support the Chief of Staff on driving the CEO's public positioning — from speaking opportunities to thought leadership on national and international stage.

Your Role in Our Space Mission:

Proactively identifying opportunities to position the CEO on topics relevant to Isar Aerospace, the space ecosystem, technology, entrepreneurship and industry

Identifying relevant conferences, panels, podcasts, interviews and other external platforms

Developing and executing a dedicated communications and positioning strategy for the CEO and the Executive Leadership Team (ELT)

Owning and driving major public appearance events for the CEO & ELT and aligning with the Events and Corporate Comms Team (esp. Munich Security Conference)

Managing inbound media requests involving the CEO and proactively creating high-quality media opportunities

Preparing the CEO for interviews, press engagements, panels, conferences and other public appearances

Developing briefing documents, talking points, Q&As, speeches, opinion pieces and other executive communications

Coordinating speaking engagements and ensuring that key messages are tailored to the respective audience

Working closely with Corporate Communications to ensure alignment between CEO positioning and the company's broader communications strategy

Coordinating with Public Affairs and other internal stakeholders where communications intersect with political, institutional or regulatory topics

Qualification Checklist

You are an experienced communications professional who understands that executive communications require a different approach from traditional corporate PR. You know how to build a compelling public profile without making it feel manufactured. You have excellent editorial judgment, understand the media landscape and can translate complex technical and strategic topics into clear and compelling narratives.

Ideally, you bring:

A strong network and understanding of the German and ideally international media landscape

About Isar Aerospace

Isar Aerospace builds and launches small orbital rockets from Ottobrunn near Munich, with test operations in Norway and Sweden. It is the largest board here by some distance and genuinely an engineering one — software, test and manufacturing rather than back office. Hardware timelines are long and public setbacks are part of the work.
