As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

In this role, you will partner closely with Product, Engineering and Business Development teams to drive and scale key programs within the Google Search Sustainable Journeys team.

The Sustainable Journeys team in Google Search is at a critical juncture, scaling our efforts in Contrail Avoidance, the Travel Impact Model (TIM), and broader sustainability projects within Search.

Lead the end-to-end planning, execution and global scaling of critical sustainable journeys programs, focusing on contrails avoidance, Travel Impact Model (TIM), and Search sustainability initiatives.

Partner extensively with product, engineering, business development, and external partners to deliver projects and integrate third-party platforms.

Translate complex requirements and technical constraints into actionable product roadmaps, clear milestones, deliverables.

Manage multidisciplinary program lifecycles, proactively unblocking technical and operational challenges, tracking cross-functional dependencies, and mitigating risks across distributed organizations. Communicate program status, risks, strategies, and impact effectively to audiences ranging from technical teams to executive leadership.

Drive operational excellence, process improvements, quarterly planning, budget tracking, and cross-product area collaboration while leveraging AI tools to streamline project execution, automate workflows, and accelerate delivery.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

5 years of experience in program or project management, partner operations or business operations within a technology environment, leading multi-disciplinary projects.

Experience managing cross-functional software development initiatives (partnering with Product, Engineering, UX, and Business Development) from conception through global launch.

Experience with partner integrations, managing third-party platform development, and external technical dependencies.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience in the aviation/airline industry, travel tech, or sustainability initiatives (contrail avoidance, Scope 3 emissions, carbon accounting), including with regional compliance and policy frameworks.

Experience leveraging generative AI tools to optimize workflows, project tracking, and program execution.

Track record of driving multiple high-priority, multidisciplinary programs in parallel across distributed, global teams. Ability to operate in a fast-paced, constantly evolving and collaborative environment.

Ability to translate complex business, technical and partner requirements and constraints into engineering roadmaps and project milestones.

Strong communication and presentation skills with experience managing cross-functional alignment and navigating relationships with executive/C-level partner stakeholders.

About Google

Google runs core product engineering out of London, Dublin, Zurich, Warsaw and Munich — not support functions. Zurich is one of its largest engineering sites anywhere, and Warsaw has grown substantially. The bar is high and the process is long, but these are genuine product teams.
