The Trading and Strategy Manager is a high-impact role driving trading and strategy for the Google Store as it scales across the EMEA region. The team manages all sites across EMEA and is responsible for driving an optimal customer experience and revenue across the breadth of Google’s device and services portfolio. This includes Pixel phones, buds and smartwatches plus Fitbit and Google Nest portfolios.

In this role, you will lead a category and be accountable for driving the commercial success across the region. You will be involved in product launches, promotional planning and forecasting. You will be expected to drive trading performance to achieve quarterly sales targets whilst improving the customer experience at every step. You will act as a primary contact for Google Store and partner cross-functionally with marketing, logistics, customer service, demand planning, product, engineering, legal and finance and country teams.

You will be a leader who can think like a general manager. You will be the driving catalyst behind our cross-category growth, developing the team’s strategic goal, leading major growth initiatives and ensuring we exceed our quarterly business targets.

Google Store is our omnichannel, global retailer, leveraging the best of Google to help customers experience our award-winning devices and services. Our team is responsible for a vast portfolio that supports the entire customer journey, from product discovery to upgrading their next device. This portfolio includes the My Pixel app distributed with every Pixel phone, the Google Store global eCommerce platform, our leading edge retail point-of-sale system, and AI-driven algorithms for customer lifecycle management.

The Store team applies Google's AI to solve complex, real-world problems across our growing global footprint of online and brick-and-mortar storefronts. This ranges from AI-enhanced site operations to agentic AI shopping assistance, ensuring a seamless and intelligent experience at every touchpoint.

The Store team is committed to providing team members with the opportunity to build their applied AI skillset, so that we may ultimately help our customers connect with the best of Google.

Lead a growth category with full ownership of its commercial outcome. This includes launch planning, sales forecasting, promotional planning, budget management, ongoing analysis and merchandising across EMEA sites.

Drive the day-to-day trading performance to achieve ambitious goals for product volumes and market share, using data to optimize on-site KPIs.

Lead cross-functional task forces to drive improvements in the end-to-end customer experience for your category, partnering with Customer Care, Operations and Logistics.

Develop and manage new, innovative growth programmes to scale the business in the region. Lead critical campaign and business planning efforts to ensure a cohesive and well-integrated plan is delivered across all functions to exceed business targets.

Own the creation and delivery of strategic reviews for leadership, skillfully synthesizing complex inputs from across the business into a compelling narrative.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

10 years of experience in a commercial role within the technology, retail, or e-commerce sectors.

Experience leading cross-functional projects, and presenting to technical stakeholders and executive leaders.

Preferred qualifications:

MBA degree.

Experience in e-commerce, specifically in a trading, business strategy or category management role within the consumer electronics sector, and within a leading management consultancy.

Experience working within European markets with established regional retail knowledge.

Ability to act, have a strategic mindset, and operate with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-paced environment.

A ‘hypothesis driven’ problem solver with exceptional analytical and project management skills and a proven ability to create order and structure from ambiguity.

Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with the ability to synthesize complex commercial and operational data into insightful, executive-level narratives .
