Being at the intersection of tech, policy, and society, our team works to secure policy wins, defend liability protections, and build trust with key opinion formers (KOFs) worldwide. As an advisors, we partner with YouTube’s product, business, and executive leadership to help navigate geopolitical risks, execute go-to-market strategies, and drive meaningful external advocacy. Whether advocating YouTube's story, safeguarding open expression, or cultivating strong organizational health, YT GAPP plays a critical role in enabling YouTube's mission safely and sustainably.
As the policy and campaigns executive for the YouTube EMEA Government Affairs and Public Policy team, you will be an analyst and advocate for YouTube’s issues and interests with policymakers and key opinion formers in the EU, UK and wider region. You will coordinate with the YouTube Government Affairs and Public Policy team to understand the policy issues that affect YouTube’s business operations and develop strategies to protect YouTube’s interests. You will keep the YouTube Government Affairs and Public Policy team updated on emerging risks in the wider region and help develop strategies for how to address them. You will report to the Senior Director YouTube GAPP EMEA and will work with the YouTube and the Google Government Affairs and Public Policy teams in the region. You will need excellent investigative and organizational skills, the ability to communicate in person and in writing, an aptitude for learning, and the discipline to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.

The Government Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP) team leads the company’s engagement with executive branch officials, legislators, regulators and third-parties in the formation of public policy. Working closely with Google leaders, GAPP seeks to identify key policy issues, listen carefully to others’ views and opinions, and distill and share the company’s perspective on those issues with external stakeholders. While we focus on challenges affecting the internet, our issue areas are increasingly broad and encompass many areas where public policy, business, and technology intersect.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Belgium: €106000 - €108000 (EUR) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Support YouTube’s Public Policy engagement in the EU and UK, working with the YouTube GAPP EMEA market leads to represent the company’s interests to policymakers and key opinion formers.
Act as a point of contact for the Google GAPP team on YouTube strategy, policy and campaigns in the region.
Support the YouTube GAPP team’s proactive engagement on key issues including youth, media, copyright and AI.
Support the Executive Director in the development and execution of the policy and campaigns plans.
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
4 years of experience working on technology policy issues within government, think tanks, public interest groups, or relevant industry associations.
Experience with the policy landscape in Europe.
Ability to communicate in English fluently to support client relationship management in this region.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience of policy engagement with policymakers on issues relevant to YouTube’s business operations.
Knowledge of issues affecting YouTube’s business operations and interests in the region.
Team player with the ability to exercise good judgment in a rapidly changing and sometimes stressful environment.
Ability to operate in a changing environment.
Track record of executing cross-functional projects.
