As Director, Scaled Sales, Retail & Commerce, Google Customer Solutions (GCS) for DACH (Germany, Switzerland, Austria) you will lead a high performing sales team, partnering with businesses ranging from digital disrupters to mature brands, from small businesses to large companies early in their digital transformation. You will leverage our AI enhanced solutions to help each of our customers to meet their marketing objectives. Your ability as a senior sales leader, understanding of digital media and your entrepreneurial drive will inspire your team to help our customers to expand their businesses with Google's latest advertising products and solutions.

As an effective communicator, you will be the face of Google to a wide portfolio of German clients to C-suite, helping your team define the strategy for how their products and services can reach thousands or even millions of users to drive growth in their businesses. You will innovate to help customers achieve business growth through digitization and will enable your team to set and achieve ambitious business, product goals and OKRs. You will own the strategy, forecasting, planning, and execution of your business.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Build and scale a high-performing DACH sales team through strategic hiring and development.

Foster a purpose-driven culture of psychological safety while developing and executing a people strategy that ensures strong talent pipelines for sustainable growth.

Ensure Google’s AI powered ads solutions deliver maximum value to our customer portfolio across our products, driving business growth across multiple segments.

Coach managers to establish a shared vision and build high-performing sales teams, while serving as a key member of the Senior Leadership team for DACH and the wider Central Europe organization

Role model effective selling practices and foster a high-performance sales culture that drives growth in competitive markets.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

15 years of experience in sales, with 3 years of experience in a sales management role.

Experience in building sales teams and defining sales culture.

Sales management experience in technology, advertising or internet.

Experience in people management.

Ability to communicate in English and German fluently to manage regional client relationships.

Preferred qualifications:

MBA or Master's degree.

Sales leadership experience with the ability to role model the development of successful, long-term business opportunities and relationships.

Good people skills and ability to identify, attract and develop talent as an authentic leader who people want to work for.

Analytical skills and ability to investigate performance, develop actionable insights, and galvanize action to capture opportunities.

Proven commercial acumen to develop dynamic joint business strategies that balance short-term delivery with long-term sustainable success.

Adept at identifying issues and priorities to escalate regionally/globally and to product teams.
