Manage a team focused around defined product area within Google Compute Engine.

Build, grow and retain top talent and continually find ways to inspire and challenge the engineering organization.

Work with team members on their career and general performance.

Set direction and priorities for the product area, in cooperation with the team.

Build cross-functional partnerships, and work closely with developers and product managers to identify productivity, production quality and coverage issues, and provide insight on improving both through scale and tooling.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

8 years of experience in Kernel development, and architecting and developing distributed systems design.

Preferred qualifications:

5 years of experience in managing internal infrastructure, developer tools or distributed computing infrastructure.

Experience in working on customer facing products/APIs.

Proven skills in managing teams working on highly distributed and reliable systems.
