Software Engineer II, Google Cloud, Infrastructure

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Ireland: €76000 - €77500 (EUR) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Develop, test, and maintain scalable and reliable backend services and infrastructure for modeling planet-scale networks.

Uphold high standards for code quality and operational excellence within the team.

Manage individual project priorities and tasks effectively, ensuring timely delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Build and optimize distributed storage and processing systems that are essential to operate and grow the network.

Communicate and collaborate effectively within a geographically distributed team structure.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).

1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.

1 year of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems.

Preferred qualifications:

BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience with backend distributed systems, databases, and full-stack development.

Experience in testing and launching distributed systems, storage, and related software products.

Experience with programming languages such as C++ and Golang.

Understanding of network topology models or infrastructure management.
