Senior Security Product and Application Engineer

What You'll Do:

You'll join Criteo's Application & Product Security team, helping secure the products we build and operate. Working closely with Product Engineering, Platform teams, and other Security teams, you'll contribute to the security strategy of your domain while remaining hands-on. This role combines technical expertise, engineering execution, and cross-functional collaboration.

Partner with Product and Platform teams to design and build secure systems and services

Act as a trusted security advisor, guiding teams on secure design, threat modelling, and vulnerability management

Identify, assess, prioritise, and help remediate application security risks across the organisation

Contribute hands-on to security initiatives, including architecture reviews, security tooling, automation, and incident response activities

Help define and evolve security standards, best practices, and KPIs to continuously improve the security posture of your domain

Drive the adoption of security-by-design and shift-left security practices throughout the software development lifecycle

Lead complex technical projects and security initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders across multiple teams

Support security awareness efforts by sharing knowledge, mentoring peers, and promoting secure engineering practices across the organisation

Collaborate with Security, Product, and Platform teams to improve security processes, tooling, and operational excellence

Who You Are:

You bring experience in Security Engineering, or have significantly contributed to application or product security initiatives in previous roles

You have a background in Product Engineering or SRE / Platform Engineering and a strong understanding of modern software development practices

You have experience leading complex technical projects and driving cross-functional initiatives in large-scale environments

You are comfortable acting as a subject matter expert on security topics and advising teams on risks, trade-offs, and best practices

You have experience securing distributed systems, cloud-native environments, and modern application architectures

You enjoy combining hands-on engineering, problem-solving, and technical leadership

You influence without authority, building trust and alignment across diverse stakeholders and teams

You demonstrate strong ownership, accountability, and sound judgement when handling sensitive security topics

You are passionate about improving security through scalable solutions, automation, and collaboration
