Chemify is supported by some of the best investors from Silicon Valley and across the world, including Triatomic Capital, Blue Yard ventures, DCVC, Founders Fund, and others.

The Role

We are looking for a reliable and detail-focused Part-Time Payroll Clerk to join our team in Glasgow. You will work closely with the wider finance and HR teams, maintaining a high level of confidentiality and ensuring payroll deadlines are consistently met. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with previous payroll experience who is looking for a flexible, part-time position within a supportive working environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Process weekly/monthly payroll accurately and within agreed deadlines.

· Respond to payroll queries from employees and provide a professional and helpful service.

· Reconcile payroll information and investigate any discrepancies.

· Prepare payroll reports and provide administrative support to the finance/HR team.

· Strong organisational and time-management skills.

· Good numerical and IT skills, including experience with Microsoft Excel.

· The ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· A professional and confidential approach when handling sensitive information.

A recognised payroll qualification, such as a CIPP or IAB payroll qualification, would be desirable, together with demonstrable experience of processing UK payroll from start to finish.

About Chemify

Chemify is turning chemistry into code: molecules described in a programming language and then made by a robotic 'Chemifarm' rather than by hand. Spun out of the University of Glasgow, where the lab and most of the roles still are, on $50m+ of Series B. The postings run from research chemists to software and robotics engineers, which is the unusual part.
