Role Description:

The goal of the Fraud team is to proactively protect, prevent, detect and respond to fraudulent behavior. The team is responsible for managing security and fraud threats across the business globally. Continuous improvement on detection and response capabilities is key. The Fraud team is part of the Security department within the Central Technology department. In this role, you work closely with the Supplier Fraud Analytics Team, Product Managers, Analytics and Engineering managers.

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties:

Design, build, and rapidly deploy next-generation, scalable, and high-performance data pipelines.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex data pipeline issues, prioritizing by customer impact and driving root-cause solutions to prevent recurrence.

Maintain end-to-end ownership of data quality across core datasets and data processing infrastructure.

Evaluate and experiment with emerging tools and technologies to meet business demands for performance, scaling, and quality.

Develop and deploy enterprise tools that enhance Data Quality standards company-wide.

Build robust integrations between applications and services across hybrid on-premise and cloud environments.

Contribute to self-service platforms enabling data discovery, quality assessment, and collaboration across the analytics community.

Establish effective data monitoring frameworks and actively respond to system operational incidents.

Implement and maintain data processing services and storage systems in full alignment with the enterprise Data Governance Framework.

Participate in team on-call support rotations as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

You have at least +3 years of professional experience as a Software Developer/Data Engineer and hold a university degree in a quantitative field (computer science or data engineering related)

Proven knowledge of Python is required, Java/Scala will be a plus

You have built production data pipelines in the cloud, setting up data-lake and server-less solutions; ‌you have hands-on experience with schema design and data modeling.

You have experience designing systems E2E and knowledge of basic concepts (lb, db, caching, NoSQL, etc)

You have knowledge of Spark, CDC, Kafka, Cassandra, Airflow, Snowflake, DBT or equivalent tools

Experience with Data Warehousing and ETL/ELT pipelines

Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
