Introduction

The Software Infrastructure & Computer Systems (SICS) team supports engineers by providing reliable software solutions and data-driven insights. As part of the SICS Test & Integration team, this internship focuses on maintaining and enhancing quality dashboards that improve visibility into engineering performance and support data-driven decision-making. The work is carried out in a GitHub-based development environment using Python, Streamlit, Databricks, and engineering data sources. During this internship, you will help transform complex engineering data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders across the organization. You will work on real-world software and data challenges while contributing to solutions that are actively used by engineering teams. This internship offers the opportunity to combine software development, data visualization, and stakeholder collaboration in a high-tech environment.

Your assignment

As an intern, you will help maintain and enhance dashboard solutions that support engineering quality and performance monitoring. You will collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to improve existing visualizations, develop new features, and identify opportunities for automation. Through this internship, you will gain hands-on experience working with large datasets and professional software development practices. Your main responsibilities will be:

Develop and improve quality dashboards using Python-based technologies.

Create new dashboard features that address engineering and business needs.

Transform and visualize engineering data into meaningful insights.

Automate repetitive activities to improve efficiency and consistency.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose solutions.

Support testing, deployment, and continuous improvement activities.

Create clear documentation to ensure maintainability and knowledge transfer.

This is a non-thesis bachelor/master internship for minimum 9 months, minimum 5 days per week (3 days on-site). The start date of this internship is as of February 2027.

Your profile

To be suitable for the internship, you:

Are pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, or a related field.

Have experience with Python and an affinity for software development, data analysis, and visualization.

Are interested in dashboard development, software quality, and engineering metrics, and have familiarity with tools such as Power BI, Streamlit, Databricks, SQL, or Git.

Have a strong analytical mindset and can translate data into meaningful insights.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders and enjoy collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.

Take a proactive approach to learning, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.

This internship is ideal if you enjoy developing software solutions, working with data, and creating visualizations that help others make better decisions. During this internship, you will contribute directly to tools used by engineering teams while building valuable technical and professional skills. The internship provides coaching from experienced professionals and exposure to a large-scale high-tech environment where innovation and continuous improvement are part of everyday work.

About ASML

ASML is Europe's largest tech company by valuation and the sole maker of the extreme-ultraviolet lithography systems that print the smallest transistors in the world — without it, nothing below a certain chip size gets made anywhere. Almost all its European roles sit in the Netherlands, split between the software that runs the machines and the manufacturing that builds them.
