The Logistics Operations Business Support team is looking for an Operation Planner (Planning and Control). BS Planning and Control consists of Wave Planning, Pack & Ship Planning and Inventory Management. This is a new role in which operational tasks of all three competences are combined and main focus is to drive and support daily operations.
Role and responsibilities
As a Planning and Control planner you are trained as an operational planner in all three main competences (WP, P&SP and IM). You play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of our highly complex logistics and warehouse processes, directly impacting our ability to meet production demands efficiently and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
In this role you are monitoring and balancing the workload within warehouse & logistics to ensure an on time in full delivery. You are coordinating the shipment of machines, parts and commercial packages, ensuring progress is tracked and products leave our warehouse on time. As a Planning and Control planner you will also be responsible for inventory within our warehouse, ensuring stock availability.
Operational activities
Wave Planning
Monitor the influx of outbound deliveries for the 5L Warehouse, where logistics processes are centralized to facilitate an efficient supply to manufacturing.
Ad-hoc steering on workload peaks- advising on warehouse capacity re-scheduling
Adjust the timing of deliveries in such a way that the workload is leveled
Adjust delivery timing based on priority
Contact the internal customer (Production Planning, Cleanroom Logistics, Material Handling) and/or the 3PL in case alignment is needed for load leveling.
Monitor and steer the ‘stock to factory’ process by managing waves
Process delivery- and/or delivery line cancellation requests and prio changes
Pack & Ship Planning
Create invoices and shipping documentation.
Initiate transport requests for systems and modules
Monitor the flow of products for shipment using the 'Delivery for Excellence' (D4E) and SAP systems.
Track and resolve issues and Daily Collaboration with cleanroom departments, warehouse staff, truckers/forwarders and the Freight Ops Shipping to ensure alignment and smooth operation and on-time delivery.
Ensure the timely availability of packaging materials.
Creating and managing the dock board planning, ensuring all shipments are allocated to the appropriate docks and times, thus optimizing the shipping process.
Inventory Management
Ensure material availability based on demand needs
Ensure timely delivery of all needed materials
Predict and prevent inventory related challenges
Align on capacity vs. demand in the logistical process
Set priorities for specific stock transfer orders
Support in cycle count activities
Continuous Improvement activities
Identify improvement opportunities in the value chain
Analyzing trends, define and improve planning related processes
Participate and/or drive continuous improvement projects
Interact with stakeholders
Education and experience
Relevant Bachelor or Master degree (e.g. Operations Management & Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management).
3-5 years of experience within Logistics / Supply Chain Management
Hands-on experience in a technical production/warehouse environment.
Preferably experience with trouble-shooting: problem solving methodologies
SAP knowledge
Excellent knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint

Other information
Please note that the work schedule for this role is the support schedule (2-shifts). In this schedule you will work 4 days per week (Monday to Friday) from 06:30 until 15:30 and from 15:00 until 00:00. You always have 1 fixed day off per week. Once per 4 weeks you work a weekend shift 07:00-16:00.
