About the Role

Autonomous ground systems are only as good as the communication behind them. As a Senior Systems Engineer at ARX Robotics, you will design and optimize the in-system networks that let electronic control units work together reliably, securely, and fast. Your decisions shape how our robotic platforms perform in the field, and the people who rely on them feel that impact.

You will work alongside systems, hardware, electrical, and software teams to define communication architectures that scale with the complexity of autonomous systems. From the first customer requirement to final verification, you will make sure every component fits together and that what we build is exactly what was specified.

What You’ll Build

Technical system specifications that turn customer, market, and mission needs into requirements that can be verified.

MBSE models in SysML, including functional, behavioral, and architectural views and interface definitions.

Requirement structures, verification plans, and full traceability from each need to its test.

Trade-off analyses that compare architecture options and give the team a clear basis for decisions.

Consistency across requirements, models, design, and verification throughout the development lifecycle.

Baselines and change management that keep a complex platform under control as it evolves.

Requirements for certification, safety, and export control, built in from the start.

What You Bring

A Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.

At least six years of professional systems engineering experience on complex technical systems.

Working knowledge of the V-model and ASPICE, and a habit of building quality into every phase.

Practical MBSE experience with SysML, ideally in CATIA Magic or Cameo Systems Modeler.

Hands-on requirements management in JAMA, or in comparable tools such as DOORS or Polarion.

Strong skills in requirements analysis, deriving technical specifications, and designing verification strategies.

Clear written and spoken German and English for working across technical teams and with partners.

Nice to have 1: experience in defense, aerospace, or automotive projects, particularly safety-critical ones.

Nice to have 2: familiarity with standards such as ISO 15288, ISO/IEC/IEEE 29148, or ISO 26262.

Nice to have 3: exposure to robotics, autonomous systems, embedded software, requirements-based testing, or system integration.

Please note: You do not need to meet every single requirement to apply. We welcome motivated candidates who are eager to grow into the role and develop their expertise further.
