What you might be working on as a Graduate?
Our next generation NPU development begins on the HW modelling platform. As a graduate HW Modelling engineer, you will develop and build new features and assess their performance. You will collaborate closely with the ML HW design and verification teams, contributing to the architecture, specification, and verification of the product. You will also support the compiler team to ensure the HW runs efficiently and help maintain the model as an external deliverable in customer engagements.
In the role of a Graduate Engineer, you are responsible for delivering well-tested, high-quality code for ML hardware modelling projects and will work together with hardware design and verification teams to debug problems and assist development.
We are looking for individuals who:
Hold (or are on track to hold) a degree by the programme start date. This can be a Master’s or PhD degree in Machine learning, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Computer Science, or similar technical field.
Strong analytical skills, eagerness to find innovative solutions to complex problems.
Comfortable working in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
Enjoy working in an environment where you cooperate closely in a diverse team of colleagues, striving together to reach common targets.
Genuine interest and strong skills in programming (preferably C, C++).
Qualities that will help your application stand out:
Source control skills (Git, Gerrit, Repo).
Understanding of SystemC and HLS flows.
Understanding of HW build and/or modelling.
Knowledge of agile SW development methods.
Knowledge of Machine Learning applications and frameworks.
Understanding of signal processing and control systems.
Additional Information:
We encourage early applications as we review them on a first come/first served basis. Please provide an academic transcript as part of your application.

In Return:
You’ll receive a starting salary of SEK 545,000 (Bachelor level) or SEK 555,000 (Master level), alongside a comprehensive rewards package. As you develop in role, you’ll have clear opportunities to progress within the salary range at Arm. With mid-year and year-end reviews, you’ll have two formal progression windows each year, recognising your growth.
You can also attend our “Grad-teach-Grads” workshops, guest speaker series, and social events to expand your knowledge. If you’d like to get more involved, you can join the Graduate Committee to further develop your planning, networking, and coordination skills.
You’ll be invited to our Global Graduate Conference (GGC) — an annual event where graduates hear from executive leaders, guest speakers, and build lasting connections.
With many of our leaders and technical specialists having originally joined as a Graduate, will you be next?

Arm’s approach to hybrid working is designed to create a working environment that supports both high performance and personal wellbeing. We believe in bringing people together face to face to enable us to work at pace, whilst recognizing the value of flexibility. Within that framework, we empower groups/teams to determine their own hybrid working patterns, depending on the work and the team’s needs. Details of what this means for each role will be shared upon application. In some cases, the flexibility we can offer is limited by local legal, regulatory, tax, or other considerations, and where this is the case, we will collaborate with you to find the best solution. Please talk to us to find out more about what this could look like for you.

About Arm
Arm designs the processor architecture most of the world's phones and a growing share of its servers run on, and licenses it rather than manufacturing chips itself. Its European engineering is heavily Cambridge — the head office and much the largest cluster here — with smaller teams in Sophia Antipolis, Budapest and Manchester, and the work skews to systems software, ML and embedded rather than application development. Roughly two thirds of its openings are outside Europe, so filter by country before assuming a role is local.
