Apple is looking for a Business Development Manager based in London to help manage and drive the growth of Apple Pay for Transit in Europe. You will help define and enable new functionalities for Wallet Services by focusing on strategic projects like the digitization of closed-loop transit cards and the expansion of Open Payment systems across multiple European markets.

As our ideal candidate, you enjoy a high-change environment that is focused on building the next generation of Apple's transit, payments, and Wallet experiences.

As a member of the Wallet, Payments and Commerce Team, you will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive strategic transit initiatives in Europe. You will work closely with external partners and ecosystem players, including software providers, infrastructure providers, and transit network operators, to roll out new Apple Wallet transit services into new territories.

The ability to manage multiple parties and projects from initiation to completion while providing consistent updates and communication to business leaders will be critical for success in this role.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the transit industry and a strong working knowledge of ticketing systems, transit networks, and payment environments. With experience in contract negotiation, project and program management, and product and market development, you are capable of supporting successful launches and initiatives. You will be able to identify new regional partners, negotiate business terms, and be the "go-to" person for these projects and relationships.

Creativity, persistence, and the ability to manage multiple parties and projects from initiation to completion while providing consistent updates and communication to business leaders will be crucial to success in this role.

About Apple

Apple's European engineering is quieter than Google's but real: London, Munich, Cambridge and Cork. Munich does silicon and wireless work, Cambridge does hardware and chip design that is genuinely hard to find elsewhere in Europe.
