We are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel Germany (m/f/x) to join Aonic’s group legal team, supporting the continued international growth of our user acquisition and research technology platforms.
You will act as a strategic partner to multiple parts of the business, with a broad focus across commercial, product, technology, marketing, and consumer matters for our German market. This is a newly created position based in Germany, offering the opportunity to shape your role based on your strengths and interests.
You will work closely with teams across Aonic’s technology companies and collaborate directly with the Group General Counsel on group-wide initiatives and the ongoing development and scaling of the legal function.
What You’ll Own
Provide strategic legal support across product and business development, marketing operations, and commercial partnerships.
Build scalable legal processes, templates, and playbooks to support Aonic’s global expansion.
Advise on intellectual property matters, including licensing, ownership, and protection of technology, data, and content assets.
Partner with the Group General Counsel and other lawyers on corporate matters, compliance, and legal strategy.
Contribute to the development of the legal function, including through the use of AI-based legal tools and process automation.
Coordinate and manage external legal advisors.
What Success Looks Like
The business moves quickly while managing risk effectively: Legal advice is pragmatic, commercially sound, and enables stakeholders to make informed decisions without creating unnecessary friction.
Commercial agreements are negotiated efficiently and consistently: Contract templates, review processes, and negotiation standards support faster deal execution while protecting the group’s interests.
Legal risks are identified early and addressed proactively: Potential regulatory, contractual, and operational risks are surfaced before they become business issues, enabling timely action and informed decision-making.
Stakeholders view Legal as a trusted business partner: Leaders across Product, Commercial, Finance, People, and Operations actively seek legal input because it is practical, responsive, and solution-oriented.
Legal operations are scalable and efficient: Clear policies, playbooks, templates, and workflows reduce complexity, improve consistency, and minimize reliance on external counsel for routine matters.
The group’s German entities operate within a strong legal framework: Corporate governance, compliance requirements, and commercial practices are maintained to a high standard while supporting business growth.
External legal spend is optimized: Matters are appropriately handled in-house whenever possible, and external counsel is managed effectively to ensure quality advice and cost efficiency.
Legal enables growth across the group: Strategic initiatives, new partnerships, product launches, and business expansion projects receive timely legal support that helps the organization move forward with confidence.
What You Bring

About Aonic
Aonic is a Stockholm technology and gaming group running user-engagement and rewards platforms across mobile gaming and consumer insights, with a German site in Hamburg. Only two European roles are open — an IT and security lead in Stockholm, and legal counsel in Hamburg — so there is no product engineering on the board right now.
