Senior Partner Solutions Architect, Migration & Modernization, Partner Core Tech - EMEA

This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for their respective technology domains, providing the business and technical expertise to help our customers succeed. Partner teams deliver the strategy, recruiting, development, and growth of our key technology and consulting partners. Together they provide our customers with the expertise and scale needed to build innovative solutions for their most complex challenges.

The AWS Partner Core Tech team is looking for a Senior Partner Solutions Architect to accelerate partner-led cloud migrations at scale and support a core AWS partner program - the Migration Acceleration Program (MAP)

In this role, you will work at the intersection of partner enablement, emerging AI technologies, and enterprise migration delivery. As a trusted technical consultant to partners and empowering them to build AI-native migration practices to unlock measurable customer outcomes. This is a unique opportunity to shape how AWS partners deliver end-to-end cloud transformation using MAP in the GenAI era — blending deep technical consultancy with programmatic scale.

You will work hands-on with strategic partners — collaborating directly to validate solutions, architect modernization pathways, and pioneer new delivery patterns. You will then multiply that expertise through thought leadership, technical content, enablement programmes, and automation tooling across the broader partner ecosystem.

Key job responsibilities

- Work hands-on with strategic migration partners — delivering architectural guidance, validating GenAI-powered solutions, and driving GenAI adoption to improve practice efficiency and productivity.

- Co-create reusable artifacts that accelerate delivery across regulated and enterprise environments.

- Provide strategic advisory on complex workload migrations and application modernization — conducting technical architecture reviews, providing needs-based support on large MAP engagements, and supporting technical qualification of partner opportunities to drive pipeline growth and measurable revenue impact

- Design and deliver scalable enablement programs and author high-impact technical content (reference architectures, use case libraries, blogs) that drive broad partner adoption of AWS migration and modernization capabilities

- Build agentic AI automation that streamlines internal program operations — reducing manual review and validation cycles from days to seconds

- Travel up to 25% to deliver enablement events, facilitate migration workshops, and present at AWS partner and industry events

A day in the life

- Collaborate with partners on solution design, architecture reviews, and technical blocker resolution for active migration engagements

- Develop and iterate on scalable automation tooling (agentic AI agents, document processing, validation pipelines)

Author and maintain technical content — use case libraries, reference architectures, blog posts, and enablement materials

- Review and technically validate partner migration opportunities, assessing scope, architecture, and programme eligibility

- Prepare and deliver enablement sessions, workshops, and deep dives for partners and internal field teams

About the team

The Partner Core Tech (PCT) team sits within the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization and is responsible for elevating partner technical capabilities across AWS's strategic programs — including migration, modernisation, and GenAI adoption. We operate as builder-practitioners: working hands-on with partners to solve hard problems, then scaling what we learn through automation, content, and enablement that serves thousands of partners worldwide. Our team combines deep technical expertise with a passion for multiplying impact — building agentic AI platforms, delivering flagship enablement events, and shaping how AWS partners deliver customer outcomes at scale.

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or experience in a professional field or military

- Experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries

- Experience within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).

- Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures

- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients

- Knowledge of SAP systems (like SAP Business Suite, S/4HANA, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects, etc.) and their architecture and infrastructure needs

- Experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking

- Experience working with end user or developer communities
