Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a regionally responsible Electrical Safety Officer (VEFK) for our team in Berlin-Brandenburg.

We want to be the most customer-centric company in the world, and we're looking for the brightest minds to help us get there. Innovation and creativity are deeply embedded in our company's DNA — across all levels. Every day, we solve complex technical and business problems with ingenuity and simplicity. We're just getting started and want to make history with you.

Amazon offers a dynamic and exciting work environment that's fun. We continue to grow exponentially and are looking for people who can keep up with our pace, enjoy taking on challenges, and want to develop professionally while constantly gaining new learning experiences.

We are looking for a responsible Electrical Safety Officer for Berlin/Brandenburg with hands-on experience in the planning and operation of electrical infrastructure for data centers. This includes collaboration in planning, installation, and operations. We support continuous professional development to stay up to date with current technology.

At Amazon, teamwork is essential to achieving our goals. You must be able to work in a team and rely on others to carry out the required work.

As a responsible Electrical Safety Officer at Amazon, you will collaborate with other internal groups as well as external groups, including manufacturers, suppliers, and service providers.

Amazon is a global company. Occasional travel is required and should account for approximately 10 percent of your activities. International collaboration will be part of the role, so international travel may also be necessary. Support may involve working with international teams and could require the development of circuit diagrams and construction drawings. An understanding of international electrical planning requirements is helpful but not required.

- Responsible for occupational safety and coordination of workflows (briefings, training, standards-compliant condition of work equipment, etc.)

- Collaboration with construction and commissioning teams to ensure proper inspection and validation of the installation, operation, and performance of electrical systems

- Support of operational processes, including fault and root cause analysis, maintenance and troubleshooting, and review of operational procedures

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field

- Knowledge of electrical engineering principles including switchgear, UPS, transformers, and circuit breakers

- Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal

- This role requires you to be a national of an EU member state.

- Experience in data center engineering or operations

- Experience leading change in a multiple site environments

About Amazon

Amazon hires more engineers in Europe than anyone else on this board, across Dublin, London, Berlin, Madrid, Luxembourg and Gdańsk. The breadth is the point: AWS infrastructure, retail systems, devices and logistics are very different jobs under one name, and team quality varies a lot between them. Worth filtering by role rather than browsing.
