Software Engineer – Graduate (6-month Professional Practice Contract), Multiple teams, Conversational Intelligence, Authentication, Agent Productivity, Data Platform, Commerce Platform

Madrid Office, hybrid (3 days per week in the office)

This is an entry-level role under a 6-month Spanish contrato formativo para la obtención de la práctica profesional (training contract for professional practice). It’s designed for recent graduates who want their first real software engineering experience in a product team shipping to production. At the end of the 6 months, depending on performance and business needs, there is an opportunity to join the team on a permanent contract.

From day one you’ll have:

A dedicated mentor from the team who meets with you regularly and guides your growth.

An Individual Training Plan with a clear month-by-month path: you start by learning our product, codebase and practices, move on to supervised tasks, and finish by owning features end to end.

A mid-term and a final review to track your progress, and a certificate of professional practice when the contract ends.

What you’ll do

Build, test and ship backend features in TypeScript/Node.js (and some Python) running on AWS.

Write clean, tested and maintainable code, and take part in code reviews.

Learn to monitor and operate services in production: logs, metrics, alerts and incident follow-up.

Work with product managers, designers and engineers to understand the problems our users face.

Get hands-on with AI/LLM-powered features in a real production setting.

By the end of the program, own a feature end to end, from design to production.

What we’re looking for

A degree that qualifies you for the role (university degree, Master’s or Higher VET / FP Grado Superior) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunications or a related field, completed within the last 3 years.

You haven’t previously had more than 6 months of professional practice contracts in Spain for this degree.

Solid programming fundamentals in at least one language (TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, Java, Go…), from your studies, personal projects, internships or hackathons.

Basic knowledge of Git, REST APIs and databases.

Curiosity, eagerness to learn and openness to feedback.

Good communication skills in English (our working language).

Nice to have

Exposure to cloud services (AWS, GCP or Azure), Docker or CI/CD.

Projects involving LLMs, NLP or speech technologies.

Some frontend experience (React).

Our tech stack

TypeScript/Node.js, Python, REST and GraphQL APIs, React, AWS (Serverless, EKS), PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, OpenSearch, Redis. You don’t need to know all of them; you’ll learn them here.
