the Netherlands tech hiring #1
Netherlands tech market: 1,817 open roles, nearly all in Amsterdam, senior pay to €197k
Published 16 October 2026 · data for the week of 5 October 2026 · EUROPE
The Netherlands grew to 1,817 open roles this week, 369 more than last week. Almost all of it is Amsterdam: the city holds 1,162 of the named-city roles, with Rotterdam, Utrecht and Eindhoven far behind. Among established employers, 233 roles opened and 278 closed.
The hiring leans deep-tech and AI. ASML is adding chipmaking roles in Eindhoven, Nebius is building out AI cloud in Amsterdam, and Adyen keeps hiring across payments. Pay runs high at the top: Adyen lists a senior product manager at €197k, well past the €85k market median, and the AI ceiling climbs higher still. Remote sits at 16% of listings.

The takeaway
If you want to work in Dutch tech, you mostly want Amsterdam. The deep-tech and AI employers pay at the top of the European range, but the median is more modest, and while two-thirds of the 15 postings that mention visas offer sponsorship, very few postings mention it at all, so check each listing.
